I have just completed walking the Hadrian Wall Path...

I have just completed walking the Hadrian Wall Path in 5 days and feel that it may be useful for your customer service data collection to note that l cannot sing more highly about the above socks, worn throughout the whole walk.

I am an experienced both short and long distance walker and despite wearing all the appropriate gear l have invariably suffered from blisters, swollen toes, sore toes and toenails falling off. On wearing your socks my feet have come through with flying colours and l support your product fully.

Should you ever wish to include comments from a "very" satisfied customer, please do not hesitate to contact me and l would be more than happy to put forward a written recommendation.

Thank you Toe Toe you now have a very loyal customer.

I have never before tried anything that allowed such free, independant movement...

I have over the past few months been trialing your toetoe socks. As you are aware due to the nature of my work for mountain rescue and my outdoor hobbies and persuites, comfort, warmth and durability is essential in the clothes that i wear.

I am walking for very long periods of time sometimes in extremely cold conditions and have found your products in
valuable.

I have never before tried anything that allowed such free, independant movement of my toes and feet whilst
at the same time keeping them warm and also allowing them to breathe. When i have been wearing ordinary socks my feet feel very restricted, your toes seem squashed together and incapable of their full range of movement. Ordinary socks have also made my feet feel at times sweaty.

In contrast i have really felt a benefit from wearing your product. I am a keen rock climber in my spare time, i have always found other socks too restricting however with your produt i have been able to grip better with my feet and my rock climbing has benefited from this increased range of toe movement. I intend to replace my stock of old socks with your products as i feel uncomfortable now in anything else, they just feel too restrictive. I do think the lack of seems and choice of fabric enhances your products comfort further, there is nothing to rub or irritate your toes and they seem to keep your feet at the optimum temperature no matter what the weather.

In addition, i have worn washed and worn again your products and they have stayed in good shape. My number one product is definitely the black toe socks which are the most versitile and very hard wearing. I have told my collegues in the rescue team about our products and they are keen to try them, i cannot recommend them highly enough.

I enjoy wearing ToeToe Socks especially when...

I enjoy wearing ToeToe Socks especially when I play badminton. They stop my 4th toes rubbing against my middle toes. I have advised lots of my customers who have toes that rub, that Toe Socks would be helpful and some come back to buy more.

USER EVALUATION OF TOETOE OUTDOOR EPT WALKERS SOCK

USER EVALUATION OF TOE-TOE OUT DOOR EPT WALKERS SOCK

Sock types:

  1. Terry Loop Weave
  2. Multiple Anatomical Location Weave

Both pairs of socks were worn for eight-hour periods inside Brasher Supa-lite boots and Inov-8 Terroc shoes.

Both pairs of socks had an excellent fit both on overall length and circumference. The fit of the individual digits of both styles of sock was excellent and no inter-digital discomfort was experienced throughout the evaluation. The main focus of the evaluation was:

  1. How the different materials at their anatomical locations performed according to functional requirements, and
  2. How the sock protected the foot.

The Multiple Anatomical Location Weave sock has a knitted contoured weave under the Calcaneus and under the Metatarsal Heads. The weave is in the form of a 3D effect. The 3D weave provides excellent cushioning under the heel and the metatarsal heads without an increase in plantar pressure (commonly found in padded/ cushioned socks) or increasing the bulk of the sock and foot inside the shoe. The midfoot weave is located proximal to the metatarsal heads and terminates at the location transverse to the medial cuneiform. The tension of the weave in this area was firm enough to secure the sock to the shape of the mid foot, securing the anatomical location of the sock. The distal tibial section was an even tension around the leg and comfortable without being restrictive. The main feature of the sock is feeling of mobility of the toes and the proprioceptive feeling of being able to feel each individual toe. This enhanced proprioception, I find very beneficial, especially when worn with lighter, flexible footwear (which is the trend at the moment)

The Terry woven Toe sock was a similar high quality fit, and displayed similar levels of proprioceptive feed back through the toes. The main feature of the Terry weave sock is the thermal properties. This is a sock for walkers who will require additional thermal protection for their feet and will suit wearers who prefer to use more rigid heavier footwear.

Overall the socks functions at a very high level of comfort and durability. The multiple weave variations are all located correctly and aid the protective function of the sock in those areas at most risk of blisters and lesions. The individual digits of the sock enable the toes to move freely and enhance the feeling of being “in contact with the ground.

The promotion of natural foot function...

The promotion of natural foot function is an essential principal of all foot healthcare products. As one of the UK ’s leading suppliers of gait assisted products, Langer UK ltd believe that, TOETOE toe socks offer significant benefits in promoting natural movement and function of individual toes compared to conventional socks. The separation of individual digits, offers the possibility of increased proprioception, ventilation, and biomechanical function, whilst creating an environment that reduces the likelihood of interdigital pressure and abrasion.

I wonder why?

When I first saw the ToeToe socks and was told that they improved body balance and foot function, I thought it was just a load of marketing hype. Having now tried them, I have to confess that I was wrong!

Running feels totally different when wearing them and you certainly feel much more in touch with the ground underfoot.

As I spend much of my time running in pretty extreme off road conditions, I really feel the benefit and am much more confident when running on rough ground.

What's more, they keep my feet warmer than traditional socks and I end my ToeToe sock-wearing runs with happy feet.

foot health benefits of toetoe socks

As well as the obvious foot health benefits of toetoe socks, the separation of the toes makes it much easier to take attention to the individual functions of the metatarso phalangeal rays for the rehabilitation of a wide range of gait and foot posture related problems, such as Achilles tendonitis, anterior knee pain and low back syndrome.

Toes are the Engine of our Feet

As previously posted Enhanced Proprioception Technology (EPT) which is introduced by TOETOE in sock design with separate toes works wonders. Separation of the toes no doubt bring more toe movement but I would like to look into what it means to move the toes more.

Toe movement is a result of the work of the entire foot structure inside the foot with all the joints, muscles, ligaments and bones. Like the entire engine is working continuously. We have around two hunderd thousands nerve endings which carry vital information to trigger mechanical actions. In order to keep the nerve endings alive it is crucial to keep the blood circulating all the time. To keep this magnificent complex structure alive movement of the toes is essential.

Easy Foot Hygiene and TOETOE socks

Communal areas such as changing rooms, showers, swimming pools are the most common places to catch fungal infections which are caused by a number of fungal species. It is virtually impossible to notice that you may be picking up some else's skin from the floor which happens to have fungal infection.

There are 3 vital elements necessary for fungal growth which are moisture, warmth and food(dirt). As feet cramped in the warm, dark and sweaty environment of shoes or trainers, fungi multiply in this ideal ground very fast once feet are contaminated.

On the other hand, athlete’s foot also occurs in dry, flaky parts of the feet. Summer sandal-wearers suffer from this as a result as the sun makes the skin dry out, cause it to lose its natural protective oils; continues trauma from sandals contributing to the dry skin makes them more prone to infection.

TOETOE socks with its engineeered construction ensures that all 3 vital elements of fungal growth dramatically reduced. Separation of the toes with absorbant cotton maintains a dry environment by absorbing the excess moisture, as it stops the toe friction excess heat is not created and feet stay at optimum temperature, finally as the thin fabric fits perfectly to the contours of the foot there is no space for dirt to pile up. www.toesocks.co.uk
